Why Us

Why Choose Our Waikato Hyperbarics?

Four reasons Waikato locals choose us — the same proven protocols as Auckland’s largest facility, now in Cambridge.

No More Drives to Auckland

Serious hyperbaric treatment used to mean the 3-hour round trip to Auckland — every session. Our chamber is right here in Cambridge, so a full 20–40 session course fits around your work and family, not the motorway.

Trusted by UFC Fighters & All Blacks

UFC’s Kai Kara-France and All Black Anton Lienert-Brown use these exact protocols to recover faster and perform. You follow the same ones in Cambridge — not a watered-down version.

Hundreds of Patients, Thousands of Sessions

Our protocols come straight from Auckland Hyperbarics, New Zealand’s largest hyperbaric facility. You’re not a test case — you’re getting a method already proven over thousands of sessions.

Booked In Within 1–2 Weeks

No GP referral and no long waitlist. Self-refer and most new patients are in the chamber within one to two weeks — and with no sedation, you just drive yourself home afterwards.

The Chamber

Looking For A Safe Hyperbaric Chamber In Cambridge?

Waikato Hyperbarics brings the same standard of care as Auckland’s largest hyperbaric facility to the Waikato. Our 4-person chamber operates at 2.0–2.4 ATA with movie theatre-style seating. Sessions run 1hr 40 minutes.

Under pressure, oxygen dissolves directly into your blood plasma, reaching damaged areas that normal breathing can’t get to.

FAQ

Questions, Answered

What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

You sit in a pressurised chamber and breathe 100% pure oxygen. The pressure forces oxygen into your blood plasma so it reaches tissue that normal breathing can’t. A session runs 1 hour 40 minutes in a certified 4-person chamber.

What conditions can it help with?

People come to us for long Covid, concussion, sports injuries, cognitive function, skin conditions like eczema, slow-healing skin, and healthy ageing. We’ll give you an honest view on whether it’s likely to help your situation before you commit.

What is a session actually like?

You relax in movie-theatre-style seating inside the chamber. You can read, watch a movie or sleep. During compression you feel mild ear pressure, similar to an aeroplane taking off. It’s non-invasive — no injections and no recovery time.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your condition. A typical course is 20 to 40 sessions, with meaningful improvements usually emerging around weeks three to four. We’ll recommend what’s realistic for you rather than overselling a course.

Are there any side effects?

It’s a non-invasive, well-tolerated treatment. It isn’t suitable for everyone — for example, certain lung conditions, a history of collapsed lung, recent ear surgery, an active fever or severe claustrophobia. We screen for this before your first session.

How much does it cost?

A single hyperbaric session is $200, with bulk packages that save you up to $3,000 on a course of 60. See our pricing page for the full breakdown.
